About Katie
Independent artist Katie Costello has been making records for almost two decades, landing her music in film, TV, magazines and radio, and working with some of the industry’s top producers. Born and raised in Los Angeles, the indie pop singer songstress got her start writing songs in her bedroom and playing clubs and venues all over LA and NYC. Her debut album was featured on LA radio by legendary DJ Nic Harcourt. She moved to NYC and then Brooklyn just after the release of her first album, where she began her indie label Rebel Pop Records. Katie’s music has been in film and TV shows Private Practice, 90210, One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars, Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best, Craigslist Joe and more. Her song “Stranger” has over 2 million streams on Spotify. Katie has collaborated with top producers like Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers), Justyn Pilbrow (“Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood), Tim Myers (OneRepublic), Kinetics and One Love (songwriters of B.o.B’s “Airplanes” ft. Hayley Williams of Paramore), and more. The title track of her new album (Katie’s 5th LP) is “WHO I AM” and the first single of the album “Something Missing” was recently featured on LA radio - the SoCal Sound 88.5FM - by Nic Harcourt.
